Hot Tubs in Denver, Reviews and Ratings

For this weekend's blog post, I would like to talk about ratings and reviews (and do a little bragging).  With today's smartphones, we are able to seek 3rd party feedback on products without ever leaving the shopping aisle.  Reading product reviews is an excellent way to sort through the marketing propaganda and understand how a product performs in the "real world".  Statistics show that most hot tub buyers do internet research before ever stepping foot in a showroom.  Selling well made and reputable hot tubs has allowed us to thrive in this environment.

But what about the company selling the product?  Not only should you research the manufacturer, but the retailer as well.  The retailer will deliver your hot tub, and be your resource for service, maintenance, accessories, and water treatment advice.

It's going to be a beautiful weekend here in Denver, Colorado.  A perfect time to discuss draining and refilling a hot tub: 

Did you know that you can increase the lifetime of your hot tubs components by performing this service every 3 months?  

Over time, salt from perspiration, granulated chemicals and other contaminants (total dissolved solids or TDS) increase to a point that the water will become cloudy.  Additionally, when the TDS level of your hot tub water becomes too high, your PH readings will no longer be accurate.  PH readings that are outside of the acceptable range can cause corrosion or scaling, which will damage your heater element and other components. 

Today's tip:  Use a pre-filter on the end of your garden hose when refilling your hot tub.  This will ensure that you are starting with the purest water possible (low TDS).  Also, flush your garden hose with fresh water thoroughly before filling.  This will remove contaminants that develop in the water that sits in your hose.

Today's tip: Soak your filters in filter cleaner regularly.  Spraying your filters with a garden hose is necessary every 2-4 weeks, but a deep cleaning is required every 2-3 months.  Oils, lotions, makeup, etc, are not water soluble and become impregnated in the fibers of your filter.  Over time, this will reduce the efficiency of your hot tub and will increase the amount of chemicals needed to maintain clear water.  If you find yourself too busy to stop by the store and purchase filter cleaner, or any other chemical for that matter, we would be more than happy to ship them to you.  Please call us at (303) HOT-TUBS or send an email to info@ccspas.com.
