Why Clearwater Spas are the ideal hot tub choice for Denver and other mountain climates:

Clearwater Spas have been proudly made in America since 1976. With a strong commitment to protecting our environment, Clearwater uses 100% recycled ABS to build their Dura Floors. They also recycle all of their wood, plastic, and cardboard waste. In addition, Clearwater Spas are amongst the most energy efficient in the world, using as little as 138 kwh or costing as low as $9.90 per month to operate. Their innovative RTB (reflective thermal barrier) insulation system achieves this industry leading efficiency while still allowing full access to all plumbing and spa components.  An integral part of this system involves recycling the heat generated by the jet pumps.  Most hot tub manufacturers lose this energy through vents.

Today, most hot tub manufacturers build what is known as a "Full Foam" spa. They spray polyurethane foam in the space between their cabinet and the spa shell. Your plumbing is buried in that foam which means leaks are extremely difficult & expensive to repair.

Close inspection of this photo reveals many advantages to the Clearwater design.

  • No wood - While most hot tub manufacturers offer a synthetic exterior cabinet, they still use wood for the interior structure. Denver Colorado’s dramatic changes in climate wreak havoc on this wood frame, not to mention the natural rotting that occurs with wood. Additionally, Clearwater’s pillar support system transfers the thousands of pounds of water load in the spa directly to the ground with substantially less flexing and strain on the spa shell. (Another reason why they offer a 20-year warranty on the entire shell.)
  • RTB Insulation - In addition to creating costly repairs, full foam absorbs moisture over time, drastically reducing its insulating value. Tests have shown Clearwater’s RTB system to be 12% more energy efficient than foam filled spas, and 37% more efficient than partially foam filled spas.
  • “Soft” 90 degree bends (a.k.a. long radius bends) in the plumbing improves jet performance. Most manufacturers use short radius 90 degree bends which cause loss of flow efficiency and increased noise.
  • No fiberglass - All Clearwater spa shells are backed with ABS and “rigidized” with Isotec®. Most manufacturers use fiberglass which has toxic resins and does not bond well with acrylic.

  • Clearwater Spas imbeds an expanded steel mesh in the isotec rigidizer to give you a 20 year shell surface warranty!! No other spa company exceeds 7 years on theirs.
  • Insulated Dura Floor – Clearwater’s weather-resistant, fully-insulated Dura Floor provides the foundation to lift the spa off the cold ground to further insulate and protect the spa from moisture, bugs and other negative influences.
